Currently our Internship Program is full and we are not taking new applications at this time. Please feel free to check back in 2027.
At Unica, our approach to healing and recovery is trauma-responsive—recognizing the lasting impact of trauma on mental, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing.
As a National Children’s Alliance–accredited Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), Unica provides a child-friendly environment where law enforcement, child protection, family advocacy, therapy, and training come together to offer children and caregivers safety and a path toward healing.
Our Internship Program gives graduate students the opportunity to apply classroom learning in a supportive, supervised clinical environment dedicated to trauma-responsive care.

- Co-facilitating teen or parenting therapy groups (optional)
- Participating in specialized trainings, including the Nurtured Heart Approach, Trauma-Focused CBT, and other trauma-responsive models
Interns also build competencies in:
- Writing progress notes
- Developing treatment plans
- Updating diagnoses and documentation
Requirements
- One hour of individual supervision each week
- Attendance at weekly group supervision and training meetings (Tuesdays, 10 a.m.–12 p.m.)
- Commitment to a minimum of two semesters or one academic year
- MSW Students: Must be in their 2nd year
- Counseling Students: Must complete both practicum and internship semesters at Unica

Training and Support
Interns are part of a trauma-responsive learning environment designed to prepare them for meaningful, ethical, and compassionate practice. Each intern receives weekly supervision, access to case consultation, and opportunities to participate in professional development through Unica’s Training Institute.
“I am immensely grateful for my internship experience at All Faiths. During my time, I cultivated a meaningful supervisory relationship that challenged me and provided authentic and genuine support and encouragement to be curious and intentional while developing my professional identity. I experienced significant professional growth through working with diverse populations and presenting problems. I was also invited to collaborate with many other clinicians, supervisors, and staff, which added to the sense of support and provided a wealth of experience to draw upon.”
