Since 1956, All Faiths has served New Mexico’s children and families. Today, we are expanding our services to meet the needs of individuals across all ages. Our new name, Unica Behavioral Health, and our new look reflects this growth.

Unica means “unique” in Spanish. It represents the concept of one place where individuals can receive the full spectrum of behavioral health services; one unified approach that integrates mental health, substance use treatment, and community support; one person at a time.

Our History, Our Legacy

All Faiths Children’s Advocacy Center, a nonprofit organization, has been the trusted advocate in our community for nearly 70 years, providing vital services to children and families affected by trauma. As a recognized leader in behavioral health and the largest forensic interview program in New Mexico, we have led the way in trauma-responsive treatment with comprehensive, compassionate care through advocacy, counseling, and case management.

Expanding Care Across All Ages

In 2025, building on our legacy, we expanded our behavioral health continuum to include adult services. For more than 70 years, our trained professionals have known that a child’s ability to heal is directly connected to the wellbeing of the adults in their lives. This clinical expertise has guided our work with families for decades and has also made clear that the need for adult behavioral health care extends far beyond the family unit.

Over time, this need has grown into a broader community challenge, with more adults across New Mexico facing mental health and substance use concerns. Expanding our services allows us to respond to this reality—offering comprehensive care for individuals of all ages, including 24/7 crisis support, substance use services, and outpatient mental health—delivered through a coordinated, whole-person, whole-community approach with trusted partners.

No. We have not been absorbed or acquired by another organization. Our name is changing because we’ve grown to meet the evolving needs of our community. Over the past year, we’ve developed new programs for adults and veterans, expanding our services– we now serve individuals of all ages. Our new name, Unica Behavioral Health, reflects this growth and our commitment to providing integrative care for our community under one organization.
